Melaka prewedding photography with The Daily Fix Julian & Josie

Inspired by Julian & Josie

One of the sweet things happened between Julian & Josie was their first meet up.

I got to know them on my visits to their cafe, The Daily Fix Cafe. We became good friends, and at some point of my visits they shared of their stories.

They started no more than an online acquaintance. After some time, he invited her to meet up like everyone would do for dating, except with a local twist; they met at the pasar malam, local night market.

Despite growing up in a native English speaking family, Julian tried hard to express his words in Mandarin to Josie. Feeling funny listening to his broken Chinese language, he however caught her attention. Since them they became friends and later getting into relationship.

Both of them are very fond of their hometown Melaka; the culture, streets and people, therefore they decided to return from Australia for good after graduation and to start up a cafe in the heritage building but preserve its beauty. It was their dream and passion, that’s what make them a perfect pair.

Julian & Josie invited me to do a prewedding portrait before their wedding last year. As much as they admire the nostalgic streets of Melaka, they would love to do it in one of the old streets, Jalan Bunga Raya, and keeping things simple and natural just like the town.

The portrait turned out to be amazing with the two, which tells so much of Julian & Josie. Thank you again for sharing your journey and have a happy and blessed marriage life.
