Every April we celebrate World Autism Awareness Month, which aims to raise awareness and acceptance of the people with autism among the Malaysian public.

Last weekend, Persatuan Kanner Melaka (PKM) organised a wonderful charity ballet performance. It was titled ‘It’s OK to be Different’, and was produced and presented by Sekolah Balet Tan Siow Siew of Melaka, together with the singing by the students and teachers from PKM.

It was a privilege to be invited to cover the event, at the same time enjoyed the ballet performance for the first time. Taking an opportunity to capture some shots of the gorgeous swans and backstage before the performance started.

PS: Persatuan Kanner Melaka is a non-profit organization formed in 2008 by a group of parents in Melaka with aim of helping and supporting families affected by autism or related disorders.
