It’s with mixed feelings knowing that Glynis Floral, run by the talented Carol, will be closing next month. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with Carol and team, and photographing the beautiful events her floral designs have graced.

Carol started her passion from home in 2016 and opened her first florist in 2017 in Melaka town. We first met in 2018 when Angela, a bride-to-be I was photographing, recommended Carol, her classmate, to create the bouquet. We requested a wildflower bouquet, and Carol’s creation exceeded our expectations. From that moment on, our friendship with Glynis Floral blossomed.

Carol’s floral talents extended beyond bouquets to include stunning arrangements for engagement portraits, family portraits, weddings, and event decorations. Each creation was a masterpiece, reflecting Jenny’s passion and dedication to her craft. Our clients always loved her work, and her designs consistently left a lasting impression.

One of the highlights of our collaboration was the outdoor floristry workshops Carol held by a lakeside and on a farm in recent years. I had the honor of photographing these events. These workshops combined creativity and natural beauty, making each experience unforgettable.

Since last year, as a mother of two, Carol has decided to shift her focus to event tool rentals by this coming June to better balance work and family life. While it’s sad to see Glynis Floral close, I fully support Carol’s decision and new direction.

Thank you, Carol, for the years of collaboration and the beauty you’ve brought to so many occasions. Though Glynis Floral is closing, the memories and moments we’ve shared will always remain. Best of luck in your new venture!
