06 Mar Back again with May & Kok Khien: Johor to Melaka
It’s always a joy when couples return for another photoshoot. May & Kok Khien first joined me for a photoshoot four years ago, and since then, their love has only deepened and blossomed. Now with a daughter, Jovie, they’ve come back to capture new memories, and May had a special request: the couple portrait in her wedding gown, something she missed in our previous session.
We started the day in Tangkak, with the stunning Gunung Ledang in the background. The morning was quite windy, and the breeze made May’s wedding gown dance beautifully in the air. The mountain added a sense of adventure to the shoot, perfectly capturing the journey May & Kok Khien have shared. The natural beauty of the landscape created a calm, intimate vibe, and we were able to capture their love in these simple, beautiful moments.
Afterward, we headed to Melaka, where the weather turned sunny, and the warm evening sun lit up the transitional land in golden light. The wind still blew gently, moving the soft lalang grass across the wide open space. Surrounded by nature, May & Kok Khien looked calm and at ease in this peaceful setting. The sunset touched their faces as they stood in the grass, their love and joy shining in the soft light.
From the mountains to the grasslands, Melaka-Johor-Melaka, the session captured not just who May and Kok Khien are now, but also their journey together. These portraits are more than just pictures; they are a reminder of a love that has lasted and grown stronger. With their daughter in their hearts, this shoot marks another beautiful chapter in their story.
Here’s to love that endures and the moments we treasure along the way.
